Frequently Asked Questions
ALGAESEP INSTALLATION
ALGAESEP installation questions.
Question Does the fuel line need to drop down to the bottom of the fuel tank?

It is recommended to have a coast guard-approved fuel line within a half inch of the bottom of the tank because the algae growth blooms at the bottom 10 percent of the tank.

Question What does it take to install the Walker ALGAESEP®?

Each application is different, so we recommend you contact your local boat yard or general contractor (Land Based Applications) to get an installation quote.

Remember the unit is bulkhead-mounted, requires a power source, as well as pick-up and return lines need to be installed or adapted at the fuel tank(s).

Extra time should be allocated to prepare the tank connections (depending on accessibility).

Question How does the ALGAESEP® system mount in your engine compartment or equipment room?

Fasten the separator mounting plate securely to a bulkhead or other structurally sound member at a safe location. Connect the power source accordingly using generally accepted safety practices.
